A CHARTER ORDINANCE EXEMPTING THE CITY OF GREENSBURG, KANSAS, FROM THE PROVISION OF K.S.A. SUPP. 12-1697 LIMITING RATES OF CITY TRANSIENT GUEST TAXES, REPEALING THE RATE SET BY RESOLUTION 1981-8 OF SAID CITY AS AMENDED BY RESOLUTION 1982-1, AND PROVIDING SUBSTITUTE AND ADDITIONAL PROVISIONS ON THE SAME SUBJECT.

Section 1.         The City of Greensburg, Kansas, by the power vested in it by Article 12, Section 5, of the constitution of the State of Kansas, hereby elects to make inapplicable to it the provision contained in sub-paragraph (a) of K.S.A. Supp. 12-1697 limiting a city’s transient guest tax, otherwise authorized by K.S.A. Supp. 12-1697, to a rate not exceeding two percent, said K.S.A. Supp. 12-1697 being an enactment of the legislature of the State of Kansas applicable to this city, but not applicable uniformly to all cites in the State of Kansas, and in substitution and amendment thereof the following is hereby enacted and ordained.
